Marion Hall

Marion Hall is a recognized watercolorist whose paintings feature regional seascapes, landscapes and wildlife from cape Ann Massachusetts, coastal New England, and Upper Captiva island Florida. Her work renders real subjects with emotional and impressionistic effects by using vivid color, light and shadow, reflection, and sufficient detail to reveal new insights into the world around her. For the past decade Marion has been studying watercolor painting and has developed her passion for painting into a career.  She studied with Paula Jean Kulas, Judyth Meagher, Margaret Laurie Abramo, and Marilyn Swift.  More recently she has completed workshops with Paul George, Carol Loiacono, Caleb Stone, and Carol Sebold of Camden, ME.


Marion is a juried Member of the North Shore Art Association, Gloucester, MA


Marilyn has exhibited at the Manchester Town Hall, the Manchester Arts Gala, the Sovereign Bank in Manchester, the Guild of Beverly Artists, Safe Studio-Ipswich, Magnolia Library Art Sale, the Topsfield Fair, Art-in the-Barn at Essex County Greenbelt, Thatcher’s Island Show, Sawyer Free Library, Newburyport Art Association, North Shore Arts Association Patron/Association Exhibition, Portland Maine Art Show, the TTOR Art Show at the Crane Estate, the Sanibel-Captiva Art League Annual Juried Show, and the Manchester Arts festival.

Before concentrating as a watercolorist, Marion was a Physical Therapist in the public schools in Manchester, Rockport, Essex, and Hamilton-Wenham.  She worked for the VNA in Manchester, Gloucester, Rockport, and Beverly.  Marion is an alumna of Tufts University and Northeastern University.   Marion is a resident of Manchester, MA and vacations and teaches watercolor painting on Upper Captiva Island, Florida.
